Pazhassi Raja tomb was built in memory of Great King, Veera Kerala Varma Pazhassiraja. He fought Guerilla war against British Army with the support of Kurichia’s (Warriors among Tribes of Wayanad). He is famously known as ‘The Lion of Kerala’. Located at Mananthavadi, it reminds us of the most popular Rajas of Kerala, a great Warrior and a Great Ruler who lead a simple life and fought from the front. With a small park and valley view, it is set up beautifully at the burial place of the great King and can be visited en-route to Tholpetty wild life sanctuary or Thirunelli Temple. It will be a ‘must see’ spot for Historians, Patriots and Students as well.
Entry Fee : There is no entry fee at Pazhassi Tomb
Visit Timings : Pazhassi Tomb is open throughout the week from 1000 h to 1700 h except all Mondays. Entry is generally closed by 1630 h.
