Edakkal Caves Wayanad offers a wonderful blend of nature and adventure, perfect for those who enjoy scenic views and light trekking. Reaching the top involves a 45-minute semi-hard trek from the parking area. Once you reach the caves, you’re rewarded with a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills and valleys of Wayanad. It’s best to start your visit in the morning, when the weather is cooler and the climb feels less tiring. It is located around 13 km from Sultan Bathery town.

Wayanad Edakkal Caves is a formation of huge boulders, roughly 96 feet long and 22 feet wide, are clefts, rather than caves. A prehistoric village was evident from the engravings inside, which show early human implements, human and animal forms, and other uninterpreted symbols. It is one of the most visited tourist places in Wayanad for its Historical importance and for trekking possibilities.
