Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary located on the Northwest side of the Nilgiri hills. It is a sanctuary to many of the critically endangered species of animals and birds in India. With at least 266 known species of birds, Mudumalai’s bird population constitutes of about 8% of the bird species in India. The mammals constitute of about 13 % of all mammal species in India.
