Ananthapura Lake Temple: With a temple in the middle, the Ananthapura Lake Temple is the only lake temple in Kerala. Madhur Temple: Also known as the Madhanenshwara Temple, Lord Shiva abodes in this holy shrine. The Ganapathy statue found on the walls of the Garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) was drawn by a priest’s son, while playing. Legend says that as day passed by it became big and fat; so that the boy called Ganapathi as “boddajja” or “bodda ganesha”. Being the greatest temple of Lord Shiva, it is also one of the most famous among the six temples in Tulunadu.
